Ozarks Kat and K9 Shelter (OKK9) in Sunrise Beach, Missouri is a charitable 501(c)3, non-profit no-kill shelter dedicated to the welfare of dogs and cats. As a shelter that relies solely on the proceeds from their thrift store and the generosity of the public, OKK9 provides a safe haven for stray, lost, abandoned, or surrendered animals. In addition to rescuing and caring for animals, OKK9 operates a low-cost spay and neuter financial assistance program, which has a positive impact on the local domestic animal population.

This program is made possible through the thrift store sales and public donations. Since its establishment in 1989, OKK9 has rescued over 600 dogs and cats annually, with countless others benefiting from their community programs. The organization is not funded by the city or state, making all donations tax deductible.
