## Description

Smaragdy is a Slovak civic association created to support people affected by cancer and the families and friends who accompany them. Recognizing that an oncological diagnosis can leave both patients and their loved ones feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to turn, the organization offers a welcoming space for guidance, advice, and support throughout a difficult period. Its community is intended for patients as well as spouses, children, grandchildren, extended family members, and close friends.

Smaragdy provides online consultations and publishes articles on topics including breast cancer and life with illness. The website also introduces the association’s team, partners, activities, and governing statutes, helping visitors learn more about its work. Its name reflects the association’s belief in the value of every person, including those who are ill, and in supporting hope and vitality through challenging times.
