## Description

P7:1SMA, also known as PRISMA, is a dance performance company that combines traditional and contemporary practices. Our mission is to promote the relevance of culture across communities, challenging perspectives and sparking critical discourse through intimate and innovative performance experiences. The name P7:1SMA represents a prism, with the numbers 7:1 replacing the letters 'R' and 'I', symbolizing the optical element of a triangular prism and the reflection of light to evoke spectral colors. Our philosophy revolves around the belief that dance is a strategy, while Malay culture is a concept. We aim to deepen knowledge, appreciation, and possibilities of dance through experiential programs. We also support research and creation, connecting dance and arts communities. Additionally, we produce performances that encourage critical discourse and challenge perspectives. Join us on this exciting journey as we explore the intersection of dance, culture, and innovation. Contact us at info@p71sma.com to learn more about our programs and performances.
