## Description

Point72 Ventures is a venture capital firm backed by Steven A. Cohen that partners with visionary founders to build companies with the potential to reshape important industries. Since 2016, the firm has backed more than 130 companies, investing from seed stage through pre-IPO and, as it describes its broader approach, supporting businesses from seed to IPO. Its focus includes fintech, artificial intelligence, enterprise startups, consumer businesses, and defense technology.

The firm takes a thematic, sector-focused approach, choosing to go deep rather than wide. It works alongside founders to provide sector insights, industry expertise, partnership, and access to its network, helping companies address challenges and pursue ambitious growth. In artificial intelligence, Point72 Ventures is interested in businesses that turn data challenges into competitive advantages. In consumer markets, it helps brands develop strategies to stand out in a competitive attention economy. Its defense technology work draws on the firm’s understanding of security needs and aims to help founders develop modern capabilities.
