## Description

The Pueblo African-American Concern Organization (PAACO) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1992 to support the educational goals and activities of African American and other minority students. Based in Pueblo, Colorado, PAACO works to encourage students to attend accredited colleges and universities and help them remain in college through completion.

Its scholarship program provides financial support to African American and minority students pursuing undergraduate degrees at accredited institutions. PAACO’s stated goal is to help increase the number of students from these communities who enter and complete college. The organization also highlights the Ruth Steele Scholarship, a mentorship program, and an endowment fund as part of its work. Students and community members can find information about scholarship applications, past scholars, membership, and upcoming events through PAACO’s website.

PAACO invites people to get involved by volunteering, participating in events, or making donations. Through educational support and community engagement, the organization seeks to advance opportunity for African American and minority students in higher education.
