## Description

Paard & Gewicht is an equine services provider based in Appelscha, offering mobile horse weighing and practical training opportunities for horses and riders. Its mobile scale travels to customers’ locations for accurate, horse-friendly weight measurements. Each weighing appointment includes a free height measurement, with optional rider and tack measurements.

At its Appelscha location, Paard & Gewicht provides Freestyle instruction from a certified ORUN Level 3 instructor. Lessons use the Freestyle system developed by Emiel Voest and Chaja Kolthoff-Voest, covering liberty work, groundwork and double long-reining. The approach is presented as a horse-friendly way to add variety to training for different types of horses.

Visitors can also practise on a range of TREC obstacles, independently or with guidance. These sessions can be combined with a weighing appointment or Freestyle lesson and focus on confidence, agility, control and partnership. Other offerings include opportunities to practise a dressage test without competition pressure, visits to the Spartelvijver combined with weighing, and occasional sales of useful second-hand items.
