## Description

Padlock Ranch Company is a family-owned western ranching business established in 1943 by Homer and Mildred Scott. Based in northern Sheridan County, Wyoming, and southern Big Horn County, Montana, the ranch operates near the Tongue River and the Bighorn Mountains. Guided by a legacy of tradition, innovation, and excellence, the Scott family aims to build a ranch known not for its size, but for its quality, resilience, and responsible management.

The company runs a diversified agricultural operation spanning cow-calf production, farming, and a feedlot. Its farms grow high-quality forage to support the livestock operations, and the ranch produces more than 10,000 feeder cattle annually. Padlock Ranch emphasizes operational efficiency and cattle quality while preserving traditional western practices, including working on horseback. Its approach to sustainability includes stewardship of natural resources, investment in excellent people, profitability, community involvement, and sustaining the family legacy. The ranch also manages land that provides habitat for wildlife such as deer, elk, moose, bears, and upland birds, and maintains close ties with the Crow community.
