Pennsylvanians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (PADP) is a grassroots human rights nonprofit organization that is dedicated to ending executions in Pennsylvania. As the largest anti-death penalty organization in the state, PADP was founded in 1997 when public support for capital punishment had reached its peak. The organization successfully challenged the prevailing political paradigm and built a statewide anti-death penalty infrastructure with thousands of members.

PADP's work was instrumental in Governor Josh Shapiro declaring a moratorium on Pennsylvania's death penalty in 2023, following a moratorium declared by Governor Tom Wolf eight years earlier. PADP continues to fight for a full repeal of the death penalty in Pennsylvania.
