## Description

The Palo Alto Historical Association is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich history of Palo Alto, California. Established in 1948, it builds upon the legacy of an earlier organization founded in 1913. With a mission to make historical information accessible to the public, the association offers a variety of programs, exhibits, publications, and a newsletter called the Tall Tree. Its main objectives include collecting and organizing materials on Palo Alto's history, recognizing and preserving historic sites and structures, and maintaining the city's historic archives known as the Guy Miller Archives. These archives are located at Cubberley Community Center, while the association's office is housed in the Museum of American Heritage. Governed by a Board of Directors, the association holds monthly meetings and presents programs throughout the year. For more information, you can contact the Palo Alto Historical Association through their website or the provided contact details.
