## Description

PairPot is a virtual shared-money service for couples, launching in the United States for iPhone and Mac. It helps partners coordinate household spending without opening a joint bank account or transferring money to PairPot. Each person keeps their own bank accounts and cards, while the app creates a shared ledger of joint expenses and tracks contributions according to a mutually agreed split.

Couples can connect accounts with consent or import statements, choose a contribution ratio, and review expenses that PairPot automatically classifies as joint or personal. Personal purchases remain private by default, and changing shared settings requires both partners’ approval. At month-end, PairPot calculates who owes whom and provides links to payment apps such as Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App; partners pay each other directly. Unused funds can roll forward toward joint savings, while spending summaries and insights help couples follow their budgets.
