It is backed by Selena ry, an association founded in 2003 to provide treatment and communal housing services for people affected by substance dependence. The service is intended for people whose ability to manage daily life has declined and who need increased care and support because of age, illness, disability, or a comparable reason. The home has nine places. Each resident has a basic-furnished private room within a shared unit, with communal living, dining and kitchen areas, a sauna, washroom, laundry facilities, and spaces for activities. Residents’ relatives are welcome to visit, and the community can offer them discussion support on request.
