## Description

PalmChrom is a spin-off of BOKU University developing portable, in situ chromatography for environmental monitoring, field research and analytical work. Its compact instrument brings automated, compound-specific quantification to the sample, helping users avoid sample transport and delays for laboratory results while maintaining data quality. Designed for deployment in remote locations, the device weighs 2 kg on its own or 2.7 kg in its rugged outdoor case. It provides up to five hours of battery life, with runtime extendable using USB-C power banks or solar panels, and can be operated remotely via Iridium satellite. Automated sample preparation reduces the need for manual processing; for laboratories, PalmChrom also offers solid-phase extraction in 13 seconds for GC, HPLC or ICP workflows. The system is intended for environmental agencies and water utilities, field scientists, remote researchers, analytical laboratories and citizen science projects. PalmChrom is completing final certification, expected by the end of 2026, and invites interested users to request information, reserve a device or seek early access.
