# Palm Court Karate - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `palmcourtkarate.co.za` ## Description Palm Court Karate Centre is a traditional Goju-Ryu karate dojo established in 1992 in Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort, serving families across the West Rand. Led by founder and head instructor Sensei Mario Sequeira, a 6th Dan, the centre teaches internationally recognized karate grounded in traditional Okinawan lineage. Its welcoming programs support students at different stages of life, from children aged 4 to 12 to teens and adults aged 13 and older. Classes help younger students develop focus, discipline, and coordination, while older students can build fitness, learn self-defence, and deepen their traditional karate practice. The dojo has produced more than 300 black belts and offers a structured progression that includes gradings and belt rankings. Students can also explore karate history, Japanese terminology, and dojo etiquette through the centre’s educational resources. In addition to regular classes, Palm Court Karate provides self-defence courses, talks, and training.
