PALTmed, formerly known as AMDA, is the premier medical specialty society dedicated to advancing the field of post-acute and long-term care (PALTC). Representing a diverse community of medical directors, physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, PALTmed serves professionals across various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, home care, and hospice. 

The organization offers a wealth of resources, including education programs, clinical practice guidelines, and certification for medical directors through the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine.
