## Description

The Parkland Airshed Management Zone (PAMZ) is a non-profit association established in 1997 to identify air quality concerns across its zone and implement strategies to address them. Dedicated to improving the air people breathe, PAMZ brings together members and committees to support regional air-quality management. Its website provides air-quality data and the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI), including current conditions for Red Deer, alongside guidance to help visitors understand air quality and its health effects. The organization also shares information on climate change and wildfire impacts, and offers ways for the public to get involved through initiatives such as Airshed Explorers and Idle Free. PAMZ recognizes environmental leadership through its Blue Skies Awards, which honor organizations or individuals in the zone taking exemplary measures, and supports education through the Martha Kostuch Scholarship. News, events, reports, and other documents help members and the community follow its work. PAMZ acknowledges its presence on Treaty 6 and Treaty 7 lands and recognizes Métis Nations 2 and 3, emphasizing respect and meaningful partnership with Indigenous communities.
