## Description

Panache Grenache is a community sports group bringing together people from Humbeek and the surrounding area to support the fight against cancer. Through its “Humbeek Tegen Kanker” (“Humbeek Against Cancer”) initiatives, the team organizes and takes part in sporting events that raise funds for Kom Op Tegen Kanker, an organization supporting cancer research. Its activities rely on the involvement of sponsors, supporters, fans and volunteers.

In 2026, 14 Panache Grenache cycling teams participated in the 1000 km event for Kom Op Tegen Kanker, held from 14 to 17 May. Their participation contributed €77,000 to the organization’s fundraising total. Earlier that year, five running teams took part in the 100 km-run in Boom on 15 March, raising €13,750 for scientific cancer research. These events reflect Panache Grenache’s combination of sport, community spirit and charitable fundraising. The group offers a way for local participants and supporters to contribute together, using team-based cycling and running challenges to help advance the fight against cancer.
