# Paperipaja - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `paperipaja.com` ## Description Helsingin Paperipaja ry is a papermaking workshop based in Koskela, Helsinki, Finland, dedicated to handmade paper and practical learning. The organisation offers multi-day introductory courses that guide participants through the papermaking process, from preparing pulp to forming finished sheets. Courses use materials such as linen, recycled cotton, textile scraps and other plant fibres, with course materials included. Participants may also explore adding lightweight elements such as thread or pressed plants to paper surfaces. For those interested in specialist techniques, the workshop runs courses in nagashizuki, a Japanese papermaking method using traditional bamboo screens, recycled Japanese kozo fibre and Finnish plant fibres. Helsingin Paperipaja also holds open-house events where visitors, including children, can try forming a sheet from recycled-fibre pulp. Handmade paper is available for purchase at these events. Courses are taught in Finnish and/or English, depending on participants, and are led by experienced instructors. Through its classes and public workshops, the organisation gives newcomers and creative practitioners an opportunity to learn about fibres, materials and the craft of making paper by hand. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Crafts _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ - 🍿 Arts and Entertainment - 🍿 Visual Arts and Design _(under Arts and Entertainment)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/HelsinginPaperipaja) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/helsinginpaperipaja) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idNJ4zpb_q/w/300/h/280/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793597364528) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idNJ4zpb_q/w/2048/h/2048/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793597365153) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Di Serria | #d7a35c | accent | | Ironstone | #7d4936 | dark | | Danube | #5696d0 | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
