## Description

Norsk Paramedisinforening (NPF) is a professional interest organisation for paramedics, ambulance workers, and students and pupils in related fields. It works to advance prehospital healthcare in Norway by supporting professional development, knowledge-based practice, research, and collaboration across the services. Its priorities include improving access to current knowledge, developing professional guidelines, sharing experience, strengthening prehospital research, and raising the profile of the field in public and policy discussions. NPF also advocates for better conditions for prehospital services and clearer, complementary roles for paramedics and ambulance workers within ambulance teams. Through its website, the organisation shares news and information about paramedicine, ambulance education, further study, prehospital services, and the history of ambulance work. It provides resources for students, including opportunities to submit bachelor’s and master’s theses, and promotes dialogue through member activities, annual meetings, and calls for proposals and input. By bringing practitioners and students together, NPF aims to support a skilled professional community and contribute to high-quality, coordinated care for patients before they reach hospital.
