## Description

PARIAH PRESS is an independent British contemporary art publisher and research-led design studio, established in Manchester in 2014 and currently run from the UK provinces and Stepney, London. The press specialises in innovative literature and photography, bringing artists and writers together to create and publish work across a range of formats. Its catalogue includes mass-market paperbacks, photobooks, exhibition catalogues, pamphlets, zines and ebooks. PARIAH PRESS describes its publications as engaging in critical dialogues and exploring themes such as exile, the underdog, mental wellbeing and censorship. The studio’s work combines publishing with design, editorial coordination and marketing, and it collaborates with contributors on individual titles. Its team includes founding editor Jonny Walsh and designers Adam Griffiths, Steven Cherry and Walsh. Distribution is organised separately for its photo and artist books and its literature, through Antenne Books and Compass IPS/Central Books Ltd., respectively. With offices associated with Cornwall and London and roots in Manchester, PARIAH PRESS offers a distinctive platform for contemporary art, writing and photography.
