## Description

ParkRx.org is at the forefront of the Park Prescription movement, dedicated to promoting health and well-being through nature. Founded in 2013 by the Institute at the Golden Gate and the National Recreation and Parks Association with support from the National Park Service, the initiative aims to serve communities by encouraging individuals to connect with the outdoors for better mental and physical health. Park Prescription programs are diverse and tailored to the specific needs of communities, involving collaborations among healthcare providers, park agencies, and local organizations.

As a leading information hub, ParkRx.org offers resources such as best practices, toolkits, and case studies for practitioners. The platform not only facilitates knowledge sharing but also supports the expanding network of Park Prescription programs across the nation. By reimagining parks as vital spaces for social good, the Institute enhances the relevance and value of these natural areas, paving the way for innovative solutions to social challenges through the healing power of nature.
