## Description

The Association of Parks in Bulgaria (Асоциация на парковете в България - АПБ) is a non-profit organization established on January 28, 2003, in Sofia. Committed to public benefit, it consists of collective members, including a nature park association and three nature park directorates, alongside 15 individual members dedicated to biodiversity conservation and advocacy for sustainable development policies.

APB's mission encompasses the preservation, development, and promotion of Bulgaria’s protected areas, ensuring ecological, social, and economic interests are balanced. The organization actively collaborates with local communities, NGOs, governmental bodies, media, and businesses to foster sustainable management of natural resources.

Key activities include studying and developing Bulgaria's parks, advancing policies that generate income in and around these areas, and enhancing public ecological awareness. By building cooperative networks among conservation stakeholders, APB supports compliance with national and international environmental laws, aiding future generations in enjoying and benefiting from Bulgaria’s rich natural heritage.
