## Description

Pickaway Area Recovery Services (PARS) is a behavioral health and prevention organization serving communities in Fayette, Fairfield, and Pickaway counties. Since 1978, its trained staff have supported people through recovery with individualized care and evidence-based treatment. PARS’s mission is to provide compassionate services that enhance the quality of life of the people it serves, with support spanning childhood prevention through adult treatment.

Its programs address mental health, substance use, and gambling disorders. Outpatient services offer personalized clinical recommendations, while residential treatment provides adult men and women with more than 30 hours of weekly programming, including group and individual counseling, case management, and peer support. PARS also operates recovery housing, offering a sober living environment connected to peer support and services. Other programs include treatment and group therapy in correctional facilities, outpatient services for youth, and prevention initiatives reaching K–12 students across four counties. Visitation centers provide supervised settings for children to spend time with parents in sensitive family circumstances.
