Partners In Care Maryland, Inc. As a volunteer-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Partners In Care operates on a unique culture of Service Exchange/Time Banking, where members utilize their gifts and talents to support each other – neighbors helping neighbors. The organization offers a range of services to meet the needs of their members. The transportation program provides arm-in-arm, door-through-door transportation to medical facilities, healthcare appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, and for running errands. Their Repairs with Care program offers assistance with tasks like changing light bulbs and repairing leaky faucets, as well as installing safety items like grab bars and toilet risers. Partners In Care also emphasizes community engagement through their Member Care program, which provides advocacy, social learning events, and opportunities to build community. Additionally, they have an upscale resale boutique, where proceeds provide financial support to the organization while offering members an opportunity to volunteer their time and build connections. As a volunteer-based organization, Partners In Care invites individuals to learn more about their mission and consider volunteering or donating to help older adults age in place with dignity and respect.
