Brand PASA Algérie is a program dedicated to supporting the agriculture sector in Algeria. The program, known as PASA, focuses on various aspects of agriculture, including water management, agro-industry, and agricultural pollution. It is co-financed by the European Union (EU), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the French executing agency Expertise France (EF) with a budget of 16,550,000 euros. Implemented from October 2018 to September 2023, PASA works in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) and the Algerian National Institute of Agronomic Research (INRAA). The program aims to enhance the competitiveness and professionalism of the agriculture sector through training, technical assistance, and organizational support. PASA has two main focus areas: the Soummam region, which includes Béjaïa, Bouira, and Tizi Ouzou provinces, and the South region, which covers El Oued and Biskra provinces. In the Soummam region, PASA supports olive and olive oil producers, while in the South region, it focuses on date, chili pepper, and potato production.
