## Description

Passy Escalade is a climbing club based in Passy, France, focused on teaching and sharing the practice of climbing and mountain activities. Its climbing wall is located in the gymnasium of Varens College in Passy (74190). Standing 10.5 metres high, the wall offers routes graded from 4a to 8b, with varied angles and holds, including vertical sections, slabs and overhangs. Climbers can practise leading or top-roping, and ropes are available at the gym. The club provides courses and open climbing sessions, as well as events and competitions for participants across age groups. Beginners need climbing shoes, a harness and a screwgate carabiner; taller participants also need a belay device. Passy Escalade promotes perseverance, confidence, personal challenge, mutual support and careful attention to safety. Respect for instructors and climbing partners is central to club life, alongside sharing and volunteering. Members help put away equipment after courses and open sessions, while volunteers contribute to classes and events. The club also shares news about its activities, competitions and partners.
