## Description

Pastels Girault is a French artisan manufacturer specializing in dry pastels. Founded in 1780, it describes itself as the oldest dry pastel brand still in operation, with a history shaped by exceptional product qualities, recognition at Paris World’s Fairs, and the influence of renowned artists such as Quentin de La Tour. The company offers pastel sticks individually and in themed selections, including landscape and portrait palettes, as well as collections created with pastellist artists. Products are available in cardboard cases or wooden boxes. Its range also includes pastel paper and primer: Pastels Girault is a distributor of Australian brand Art Spectrum, offering Colourfix paper and primer for preparing surfaces. Beyond its products, the brand provides pastel workshops for beginners and experienced artists, covering subjects such as portraiture, still life, animals, landscapes, seascapes, abstraction, and plein-air work. Its website features a virtual gallery of pastel artworks, artist profiles, and information about the brand’s history, colour chart, and lightfastness. Pastels Girault also shares news about artists and collaborations.
