## Description

Els Pastorets de Figueres is a community theatre association in Figueres, Catalonia, dedicated to performing El Primer Nadal dels Pastors, a Christmas play by Mossèn Rossend Fortunet. The group has staged the production since 1923 and is approaching the work’s centenary. Its cultural contribution is recognised through its designation as a Local Cultural Asset of Interest.

The association brings together theatre, live orchestral music, singing and dance to tell the Christmas story, combining performing arts, humour and emotional storytelling. Its main public offering is the annual production, with tickets available through its website. The site also shares information about centenary activities, performance details and association news.

Beyond performances, Els Pastorets de Figueres is organised collaboratively, with members working through commissions and a board. It welcomes new participants who want to act, enjoy creative activities and become part of the association. Through its productions and community involvement, the group sustains a long-running local theatrical tradition while inviting audiences and aspiring performers to take part.
