# Paternostro Cancer Foundation - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `paternostrocancerfoundation.org` ## Description The Paternostro Cancer Foundation is a community nonprofit serving families in Pennsylvania’s Lycoming County region since 2013. Its mission is to support families facing cancer, including through financial assistance, recognize deserving high school students and athletes with scholarships, and preserve the memory and spirit of loved ones for their families and friends. Since 2015, the foundation has helped families manage household expenses by making direct payments to utility companies on their behalf. It also provides Harnessing Hope Bags to newly diagnosed cancer patients at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Williamsport. For female patients experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment, the foundation offers two free headcovers through its partnership with Arrow & Thread Handmade Designs. In collaboration with the Susquehanna Health Foundation, it also runs Essence of You, a series of health and wellness sessions held every other month for patients receiving treatment at the center.
