## Description

The Patricia Bone Foundation is an Australian charitable foundation established in memory of Patricia Bone, a major contributor to Western herbal medicine. Its mission is to support deserving students undertaking full-time graduate or postgraduate studies in the field and to help nurture future leaders in herbal medicine. The foundation’s main offering is the Patricia Bone Scholarship Fund, which awards up to two scholarships each year to students who demonstrate academic merit and/or financial need. Each scholarship is valued at a minimum of $20,000 per year for two years. The foundation also provides information on scholarship eligibility and application processes, introduces its scholars, and offers a mentorship program. Its inaugural scholarship was awarded to Sotiriana Tropoulos, who is studying Health Science (Naturopathy) at Torrens University. The foundation welcomes support through donations and sponsorship, including contributions from its platinum and other sponsors. Through education and financial assistance, it aims to advance the study of Western herbal medicine and continue Patricia Bone’s contribution to the field in Australia and beyond.
