Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is a public agricultural university based in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab, it combines higher education, agricultural research and outreach to farmers. Its six constituent colleges cover agriculture, agricultural engineering and technology, basic sciences and humanities, community science, and horticulture and forestry, including a College of Agriculture at Ballowal Saunkhri. PAU also operates pre-graduation institutes of agriculture in Gurdaspur and Bathinda.

The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs, along with student fellowships and scholarships. Its research and development work includes recommended crop varieties and machinery, advanced technologies, smart agriculture, and seed and planting material. PAU shares agricultural knowledge through training and demonstrations, extension activities, weekly agro-advisories, Kheti Sandesh publications, farmer portals and a Kisan app. It also provides services such as testing, skilling, incubation and consultancy, supported by laboratories, research stations and Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
