# Paul-Gerhardt-Gesellschaft - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `paul-gerhardt-gesellschaft.de` ## Description The Paul-Gerhardt-Gesellschaft e.V. is a German cultural and scholarly association dedicated to keeping the legacy of Paul Gerhardt (1607–1676) alive. A major Protestant hymn writer and Baroque poet, Gerhardt is remembered for enduring hymns such as “Befiehl du deine Wege,” “Nun ruhen alle Wälder,” and “Geh aus, mein Herz, und suche Freud.” Founded in 1999, the society raises awareness of his life, work, and influence on church and culture, helping preserve a figure whose familiarity among the wider public is declining. Its website provides resources including a biography, bibliography, discography, hymn studies, historical materials, music, images, and links. The society also offers a forum for sermons, worship services, and academic studies, and shares news and announcements. It promotes events connected with Paul Gerhardt, including activities for the 2026 commemorative year, marking 350 years since his death. Through its educational resources and events, the association supports continued engagement with Gerhardt’s contribution to Protestant worship, pastoral care, and German cultural history. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Faith and Beliefs _(under Community and Society)_ - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Literature _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idLVw806EB/w/600/h/200/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793266939763) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Muddy Waters | #bb8e6d | accent | | Outer Space | #32393c | dark | | Cinnabar | #e53e3e | light | ## Fonts - Sintony bold — asset _(custom)_ - wp-event-manager — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
