## Description

PawCash is a charity-shopping platform that helps people support animals in need through everyday online purchases, at no extra cost to shoppers. Users choose a participating partner shop before placing an order, and PawCash receives a referral commission. A portion of that commission is credited as a reward to the user’s PawCash wallet; users can then direct their rewards to eligible animal-welfare associations, organisations and projects of their choice.

The platform features more than 100 partner shops, offering a way to turn regular purchases—such as pet food, clothing or household items—into support for animal protection. Free browser reminder extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox can help users remember to collect rewards while shopping. PawCash also provides information about its supported projects, partner organisations and animal-welfare topics through its website and blog. Animal shelters and other animal-protection groups can apply to become partners, subject to a review of their charitable status. PawCash is funded through a share of partner shops’ referral commissions, which also helps cover platform operating costs and development.
