## Description

Pawsitive Directions is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) foundation founded in 2022 to help people with disabilities build greater independence, dignity, and quality of life through partnerships with professionally trained service dogs. Based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, the organization focuses on connecting trained dogs with veterans, first responders, and others living with PTSD, other mental disabilities, or physical disabilities.

Pawsitive Directions supports the preparation of caring dogs and their placement with individuals who can benefit from their assistance. Its work includes service dog training and team-building, helping each person and dog develop a strong, mutually beneficial partnership. Stories shared by the organization describe how dogs can offer comfort, security, and practical support in everyday activities, helping their partners regain confidence and participate more fully in life.

The nonprofit also invites the community to contribute through donations, volunteering, and puppy raising. Its website provides volunteer applications, puppy raiser requirements, information about events, and ways to get involved.
