## Description

Shadow Island Games offers play-by-email games that combine strategic wargaming, adventure, and roleplaying. Its flagship title, Olympia, is a large-scale fantasy simulation built around a detailed game engine, with public turn reports and an online archive of game design materials. The Age of Gods provides new, expanded scenarios based on the popular Olympia engine, giving players another way to explore its fantasy world. For a different style of competition, Arena is a gladiatorial combat game set in the Imperial City, where participants play by email. The site also supports the wider play-by-mail community through an Olympia mailing list searchable by thread, date, subject, or author, a PBM FAQ, and links to other gaming resources. These include a dice server intended to help players run conventional board games and wargames by email, along with references to free PBEM games such as Singularity and Food Chain. Shadow Island Games presents its offerings as an online home for players interested in asynchronous, turn-based strategy and roleplaying.
