## Description

The Polish Red Cross is Poland’s oldest humanitarian organization and a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Guided by principles including humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence and voluntary service, it works across Poland and internationally to prevent suffering, protect human dignity and assist people in need.

Its programs support people affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises, with volunteers and equipment ready to respond. The organization also helps children and young people from families facing hardship through material assistance and educational initiatives, and supports seniors with everyday needs, psychological support and community activities. Its services include respite care for caregivers of people with disabilities and a Personal Assistant program operating in 12 Polish regions for its 2026 edition.

The Polish Red Cross promotes health and wellbeing through educational programs such as the nationwide Health Olympics, and runs campaigns including Gold Rush, which collects small coins to help children.
