Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) is an award-winning third-sector charity serving communities in County Durham and the wider North East. Its mission, “Health, Wellbeing and Learning for All,” guides work to improve lives and expand opportunities, particularly for disadvantaged communities. PCP engages with more than 134,000 people each year through a varied range of projects and services shaped around community needs.

The organisation’s offerings include health and wellbeing support, learning opportunities, and services designed to strengthen life chances. Its Wellbeing for Life programme provides free health and wellbeing courses for County Durham businesses, helping employers and staff build skills for healthier, more resilient workplaces. The pool can be booked, and the centre supports community participation through initiatives such as Together 21 and Rock Your Socks. PCP shares stories of lived experience to promote understanding and positive change, and publishes an annual report documenting its impact.
