## Description

PCPLD Network is a charity focused on improving palliative and end-of-life care for people with learning disabilities. Founded in 1998 by professionals in learning disability and palliative care, it grew from concern that people with learning disabilities facing life-limiting illness were not accessing the same services or receiving the same quality of care as others. The network advocates for the right of every person with a learning disability to be valued and to receive excellent care tailored to their circumstances.

PCPLD Network supports this goal by sharing information, practical resources and real-life care stories. Its website offers articles and academic papers, presentations, links to relevant organisations, webinars and podcasts, and guidance for people interested in joining. The charity also publishes news and events, recognises contributions through the Linda McEnhill Award, and invites donations to support its work. Stories from professionals and care teams illustrate approaches to supporting people through serious illness, including coordinating care and helping someone remain at home.
