## Description

Hiroshima Peace Tourism is an initiative of Hiroshima City’s Economic Affairs and Tourism Bureau that helps visitors explore the city’s history, culture, and commitment to peace. Through suggested walking routes, searchable attractions, stories, and visitor resources, the site connects people with Hiroshima’s past, present, and future. Visitors can learn about life and culture before the atomic bombing, the destruction and hardship that followed, the city’s recovery, and ongoing efforts to pass on survivors’ experiences and work toward a world without nuclear weapons.

The site features routes through central Hiroshima, including visits to surviving bomb-damaged buildings and other places that bear witness to that day. It also highlights cultural experiences, parks, memorials, museums, historic sites, trees affected by the bombing, art and sports venues, and accommodation. Interactive features include map-based and nearby-spot searches, restroom and free Wi-Fi information, an online gallery, and an augmented-reality camera experience exploring the Atomic Bomb Dome.
