Peacemaker Resources is a nonprofit organization based in Bemidji, MN, dedicated to promoting peace skills and creating systemic changes that benefit individuals and communities. For over two decades, we have been providing universal prevention tools to groups, supporting youth and adults in three focused areas: Social and Emotional Learning & Mindfulness, Cultural Responsiveness, and Trauma-sensitive Practices. Our mission is to cultivate emotionally healthy youth who possess greater self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills.

We also strive to create caring and supportive schools that foster a sense of community, clear behavior standards, non-coercive approaches, and student involvement. In addition, we aim to develop life-enriching families that prioritize warm and caring connections and use non-coercive approaches rather than harsh criticism. Through our work, we seek to build respectful communities that promote cultural understanding and respect among diverse individuals and groups.

We aim to create nurturing environments where everyone can thrive. Moreover, we strive to foster healthy workplaces where employees feel safe, trusted, valued, and supported, through effective systems of communication and conflict management. While our geographic priorities are in Bemidji, Cass Lake, and the twelve counties in the Northwest Minnesota Foundation region, our services are not limited by location.
