## Description

Peace Pedalers is a global storytelling and social-impact initiative founded by Jamie and his friend Garryck, who began an around-the-world tandem cycling journey on Earth Day in 2002. Their mission was to reduce fear and prejudice by inviting strangers to ride with them, creating friendships across language, cultural, and religious boundaries. Over more than eight years, they traveled through 81 countries and welcomed more than 1,000 people onto their tandem bikes, sharing equipment and, when needed, support for food, accommodation, or travel home.

The project shares stories, photographs, journals, and video from the journey to encourage people worldwide to connect with others. Its related work includes grassroots charitable projects and support for Good Hope School, which is expanding its facilities. Peace Pedalers also offers the book A Bicycle Built for Two Billion, including a 20th-anniversary edition and audiobook. The team is developing Purpose in Expenses, a project intended to help businesses convert operating expenses into recurring donations at no cost to the company.
