## Description

The Haute-Marne Fishing Federation promotes recreational fishing across the Haute-Marne department in France’s Grand Est region. It helps anglers discover the area’s rivers, canals, lakes and ponds, while encouraging responsible practices that protect aquatic environments for future generations. The department offers varied fishing opportunities, including coarse fish, carp and predatory species. Its waters include four lakes covering a combined 770 hectares, as well as the 4,800-hectare Lake Der, much of which is open to fishing.

The Federation provides practical information for visitors and local anglers, including fishing permits and prices, seasonal rules, opening hours, catch limits, protected areas and night-carp regulations. It also guides users to local fishing associations, fishing routes, lakes, tackle retailers and accommodation. Through its Maison Pêche Nature and fishing workshops, the organization offers opportunities to learn and take part in activities. It also shares news, information about fishing guides, and resources on fish, crayfish and water management.
