## Description

The Society for Pediatric Anesthesia (SPA) is a professional organization dedicated to making anesthesia safer for children and advancing their health and well-being through perioperative care. Its mission brings together members, patients, families, and professional organizations worldwide around education, research, advocacy, and collaboration. SPA supports clinicians and trainees through educational resources, including lectures, webinars, case guides, one-pagers, questions of the week, and a well-being curriculum. It also offers fellowship and trainee resources, mentoring initiatives, research grants, and opportunities to participate in committees, sections, and special interest groups.

SPA convenes professional meetings, including its annual meeting and the SPA-AAP Pediatric Anesthesiology meeting, with registration, exhibitor information, and abstract opportunities. Its patient-safety resources include the PEDI CRISIS app and critical-event checklists. The organization also shares position statements, research and quality initiatives, and updates through its newsletters and website. Membership options include individual and group categories, with benefits and online renewal available. SPA further supports the field through awards, visiting scholar programs, and partnerships with affiliated organizations. Its online store offers SPA merchandise.
