## Description

Peerhub is a free plugin by Agorise that helps creators and web hosts publish, distribute, and monetize streaming media through peer-to-peer technology and multiple blockchain networks. Designed as a self-hosted alternative to platforms such as YouTube and Spotify, it aims to give users more control over their content and reduce reliance on advertising, platform fees, and centralized distribution. Hosts can install the plugin on a PeerTube server to syndicate videos, podcasts, and other media across websites, apps, and networks, including Mastodon, Hive, Blurt, Pixelfed, Lemmy, and Nostr. The system supports high-resolution video, livestreaming, audio, distributed storage, and transcoding. Creators can earn through audience interactions such as likes, tips, and upvotes, while commenters may also receive rewards. Peerhub offers automated syndication and engagement features, including RSS feeds compatible with Podcasting 2.0 and optional content importing from supported platforms. The plugin is available for PeerTube Server, with a separately offered optional patch that adds extended RSS and multi-network features. Peerhub describes its model as fee-free and censorship-resistant.
