## Description

Packer Pelikings is a youth chess tournament program in Brooklyn, New York, with a season of events scheduled from October 2026 through June 2027. Sponsored and administered by parents of the Packer Pelikings chess team, the program welcomes players from novice through advanced championship levels. Its tournaments offer sections for students in kindergarten through grade 12, grouped by age, experience, and rating, as well as a Premier Championship for players rated 2000 and above. Events include multiple rounds with time controls tailored to each section, and the schedule provides staggered start times throughout the morning. The program offers cash prizes for the Premier and Open Championships, along with trophies, medals, and other awards across sections. Novices may receive certificates for their first unrated tournament, while players can earn medals for their first USCF-rated event. Packer Pelikings also provides online registration, registered-player lists, waitlists, and information about entry fees, sibling discounts, bye requests, section placement, and tournament changes or cancellations. Participants register for individual events, subject to availability and payment.
