## Description

Penvins Cerf Volant is a kite-flying association based at the Pointe de Penvins in Sarzeau, Morbihan, in southern Brittany. Since 2000, it has organised the Journées du Vent, a public festival celebrating kites and outdoor flying. The event has featured single-line kite displays, demonstrations of two- and four-line kites, freestyle performances, team flying, giant structures, nighttime flights and activities such as kite decorating workshops and candy drops. The 2023 festival attracted more than 20,000 visitors over three days.

The association also brings together kite flyers and welcomes independent enthusiasts to the site, where members gather when weather conditions allow. It offers opportunities to join the association, sign up for festival meals and purchase festival-themed items through its online shop. Although the 2024 festival was cancelled after the municipality declined permission for a summer event, Penvins Cerf Volant continues to operate and remains open to proposals for a suitable alternative location. Its website also preserves festival programmes and press archives from previous years.
