# Pen-y-bont Aikido club - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `penybontaikido.co.uk` ## Description Pen-y-Bont Aikido is a martial arts club in the Bridgend area of South Wales and part of the Shin-Gi-Tai Aikido Society. The club teaches traditional Aikido techniques through a structured, varied syllabus, combining Japanese martial arts etiquette with an inclusive approach that recognises individual learning needs. Students are encouraged to explore techniques and ask questions, while training supports physical fitness, awareness, confidence and mental calm. Classes take place at the Richard Price Centre in Llangeinor three times a week. Adult sessions are held on Tuesday evenings and Thursday evenings, and junior classes are offered on Saturdays for children aged six and above. Children learn through play and training aids, developing coordination, focus, concentration and confidence. Parents are asked to stay and watch during junior classes. The club welcomes prospective students to visit, and the first session is free. Comfortable sports clothing is suitable initially, with a martial arts uniform recommended later. Adult and junior classes have separate fees.
