## Description

What about me® is an inclusive menstrual health education resource developed in New Zealand from the experience of the me® (Menstrual Health and Endometriosis) programme, first introduced in some schools in 1998. Created to help address gaps in period education, it offers a free online course for people in New Zealand, alongside information and support for teachers, students, families and communities.

The interactive course helps learners understand periods, the menstrual cycle and symptoms that may affect daily life. It shares medically responsible, up-to-date information, introduces the neuroscience of pain and explains ways to manage symptoms and when to seek further help. Its positive, engaging approach encourages young people to recognise their experiences, talk about menstrual health and take an active role in their well-being.

What about me® is designed to be inclusive of different ages, cultures and gender identities, including transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse people who menstruate. The website also provides a question-and-answer section, support information, a blog and contact details, extending learning beyond the course.
