## Description

Perniön Laurin Markkinat is a community-led Finnish market and events organisation based in Perniö, bringing residents and visitors together through a long-standing local tradition. The annual market, described as more than 450 years old, features a lively marketplace where visitors can browse a variety of goods, alongside activities and entertainment for all ages. The 2026 market is scheduled for 1 August, with a broader event weekend running from 31 July to 2 August. Sellers can register online to reserve a place at the market.

The organisation also arranges seasonal events, including a family-focused autumn pumpkin celebration with workshops, crafts, themed trails, a photo-orienteering activity and refreshments. Its website provides event information, arrival and accessibility guidance, seller resources, feedback opportunities, market news and a blog. Visitors can also explore local-themed games and orienteering activities. Perniön Laurin Markkinat is run as an association that welcomes new members, volunteers and community participation. Through collaboration with local groups and public partners, it aims to strengthen Perniö’s culture, vitality and sense of community while creating enjoyable experiences for the region.
