# Peterborough and District Family History Society - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `peterborofhs.org.uk` ## Description Peterborough & District Family History Society is a family history organisation founded in 1980 to support people exploring their ancestry and historical connections. Its website provides resources for both members and visitors, with a particular focus on searchable archival information. The Archives Names Index contains more than 200,000 names, including people connected with Peterborough and many from elsewhere in the United Kingdom and overseas. An Archive Subject Index helps visitors explore the society’s collections, while updates identify newly added files and names. Members receive internet access to all of the society’s archives, and the Members Area also provides access to the society’s journals. The website shares Society News and a newsletter, along with information about the society’s programme, membership, and family history links. It also features details about the society’s history, including its 40th anniversary journal, and provides access to its constitution, policies, and other organisational documents. The society offers a valuable starting point for researching ancestors and discovering family history resources. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Ancestry and Genealogy _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/PeterboroughFamilyHistorySociety) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/PeterboroughAnd) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idqXl_7XOY/w/744/h/727/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793154257710) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idqXl_7XOY/w/400/h/400/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793154257931) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Smalt | #033aa1 | accent | | Kilamanjaro | #170202 | dark | | Sorrell Brown | #c5a87e | light | ## Fonts - Armata — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
