## Description

Petra Tabarelli is an esteemed archivist, historian, and author based in Bingen on the Rhine, where she serves as the head of the local archive. Her profound expertise spans public history, nostalgia studies, and football history. With a focus on British Romantic Rhine tourism from 1813 to 1863, Petra investigates interdependencies between British and German cultural narratives, particularly through the lens of nostalgia, exemplified by her analysis of the Midsomer Murders series.

In her role as an independent football historian, she collaborates with major institutions, including the International Football Association Board, to explore the evolution of football rules and officiating. Her website, "Nachspielzeiten," features a wide array of articles on football history, alongside her various scholarly publications on German-Jewish contributions to sports journalism and the social implications of sports under various historical contexts. Passionate about blending her interests in history and nostalgia, Petra Tabarelli continues to enrich the cultural discourse surrounding football and public history in Germany and beyond.
